I'm Paolo Toffanin, an Italian experimental psychologist. I'm currently a post-doc and part-time teaching assistant at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
My research interests focus mostly on attentional mechanisms, especially addressing attention temporal dynamics and attentional control.
In most of my works I used electroencephalography (in the forms of event-related brain potentials, analysis of the frequency content of the EEG signal, or steady-state evoked potentials) to visualize the superfast changes that the attentional system acts in the brain.
The flashing image on the right of the screen represents one of the experimental paradigm that I am currently using to test attention control.
